End of the 3rd Quarter

MATH:
We are at the end, you have been reminded so many times, been given so many opportunities for make-up, tutoring, you-name-it. You have your many progress reports, you have your assignments, you know when we are available for small groups and 1-on-1. This is it! Good Luck in Math!

SPANISH:
Just a reminder that you are enrolled in a Spanish Class. I remind a lot of you each day to get on and do the assignments you have not completed. At times I generate personal reports for some and for all others print a list and hang it in the back of my classroom showing missing assignments. Next up, final progress reports; they will be available tomorrow should you seek me out. Just a reminder, you might want to turn those O's to A's.

Vote for Your Fellow 10th Graders & SASIC Friends

Your previous votes paid off and Stage V, a film made by your 10th grade and SASIC pals, made it to the finals. GOOD LUCK TO OUR GEOMETRY STUDENTS, IRIS, DEIDRE AND SARA

Here is a message from your Principal:

"Please vote for the iPhone Movie trailer that our students submitted to this International competition at http://www.internationalmovietrailerfestival.com/all-cameraphone-entries/stage-v/finalist/ ... This trailer submission competed against hundreds of submissions internationally. This was not just a student competition it was a competition that professionals also participated in. They have gone through all the rounds of elimination and are now one of three that are up to win this. Please support these students and cast your vote and ask friends, students and others to do the same. I want to see our numbers go up. As a school the numbers of votes cast should be astronomical..."

Here is a summary from Mr. Calvo, the film teacher, and the SASIC film students from the IMTF website itself:

2012 Finalist - Stage V

  • Category: Home Page Slideshow
  • Genre: Sci Fi
  • Director: Buddy Calvo
  • Producer: Perla Rivera
"After a trial drug goes wrong, people of the world begin dying in stages. First, the elderly and then the babies as they are the most susceptible to the virus they’ve been injected with. Next the middle aged people, followed by young children leaving only the teenagers of the world to survive until the end of Stage V."
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, HERE IT IS!
